Privacy Policy

  Veteran Source.com makes it a priority to protect the confidentiality and privacy of all consumer information. Veteran Source.com does not share this information with other third parties, except as necessary to originate and close home mortgage transactions or as required by law. For purposes of defining who is covered within this Privacy Policy, the terms customer, consumer, client, applicant and borrower are interchangeable and are referred to collectively.

The Gathering of Customer Information

The process of providing financial products and services requires the acquisition of private information from customers. The collection of information is at all times gathered for the express purpose of obtaining credit approval and shall be limited to the required amount, or anticipated amount, of information necessary. At the time of the application process, the Privacy Notice shall be presented to the applicant. For those transactions in which the application is not taken in a face-to-face meeting, but is, for example, taken by phone or via the Internet, the Privacy Notice shall be disclosed to the customer via mail within three days of confirmation that an application for credit approval has been made. The information may be gathered in the following ways:

  • Information Provided by Applicant(s): Loan applications, forms, income and asset documentation, and other information provided by the customer over the telephone, electronically, or by any other means. This information may include residence history, payment history, account usage, or account balances.
  • Information Provided by Third Parties: This information may include account information and information about the client's credit worthiness, such as:
    • Information from public sources: This includes real estate records, telephone numbers, public records, etc.
    • Information provided by current and past employers.
    • Information gathered from necessary third parties, such as title companies, credit reporting agencies, financial institutions (that the client has a relationship with), fraud monitoring companies, etc.
